The present study was aimed at developing a biotechnology strategy for the production and application of biological products and natural elicitors based on local rhizobacterial strains during the cultivation of artichoke Cynara scolymus L under the agroecological conditions of the Jizzakh region The study investigated the effectiveness of the domestic biopreparation ZaminM the newly developed biological product Elicitor and the commercial standard Organika in stimulating plant growth and increasing the biosynthesis of therapeutically important flavonoids
The research demonstrated that treatment with rhizobacterial biopreparations significantly improved seed germination plant productivity and flavonoid accumulation The content of quercetin rutin and cynaroside in artichoke leaves increased substantially compared with untreated controls A novel biological product Elicitor was isolated from the autolysate of rhizobacterial associations and exhibited significant biological activity under in vitro and field conditions
Gas chromatographymass spectrometry GCMS analysis identified several biologically active volatile organic compounds within the elicitor extract Optimal technological parameters for laboratory and industrialscale production were established at pH 6870 temperature 28 2C and a cultivation period of 72 hours
Economic evaluation demonstrated that the developed elicitor was considerably less expensive than imported analogues and showed high profitability in agricultural application
