Rahil Shahzad holds an M.Sc. (Hons.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan, and has over 10 years of research experience as a Scientific Officer at the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute (ABRI), Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI), Faisalabad. His research focuses on plant genomics, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS), DNA fingerprinting, molecular breeding, and genome editing for climate-resilient crop improvement. He has established genomics-based workflows supporting national breeding programs and has participated in numerous national and international professional training programs, including advanced training at Southwest University of Science and Technology, China. Passionate about translating genomic discoveries into practical breeding solutions, he is committed to advancing sustainable agriculture through innovation, collaboration, and next-generation crop improvement technologies.
