Biography

Dr Iqra Fatima is a biotechnologist with over seven years of experience in molecular biology and three years of experience in microbiological research. Her expertise includes gene cloning, transformation, molecular characterization, sequencing, and protein expression analysis in E coli and transgenic plants. She has developed lettuce chloroplast expression vectors and generated transgenic lines producing chitinases, mannanases, glucanases, and Ara h2. Her research includes marker gene excision, transgene integration analysis, and recombinant enzyme characterization. She also studies plant microbe interactions, including PGPR and Trichoderma for biocontrol of soil borne pathogens. Her work integrates molecular, microbial, and biotechnological approaches to advance sustainable crop protection, enzyme production, and agricultural biotechnology.
